Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited the United Arab Emirates, specifically Abu Dhabi, on a two-day tour. On the second day of his visit, he inaugurated the first Hindu temple built in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. After the inauguration of this temple, built on 27 acres of land, he also performed a puja there.
On this occasion, he said that today the land of the United Arab Emirates has written a new golden chapter in human history. Today, the inauguration of a grand and divine temple is taking place in Abu Dhabi, which has been years in the making. This moment encapsulates years of hard work. It is a dream year in the making.
He said that this temple is blessed by the grace of Lord Swaminarayan. Today, wherever the main Swami ji will be, wherever his soul will be, there will be an experience of happiness.
According to the information available, this temple has been built by the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) near Al Rahba on the Dubai-Abu Dhabi Sheikh Jayed Highway. The temple, built in Abu Dhabi, is constructed in the Nagara style, similar to the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
The UAE government has donated the land for the temple. The consecration ceremony of the idols in the temple began on Wednesday morning. PM Modi inaugurated this grand temple in the evening.
This temple will also be recognized worldwide for its architecture. The temple showcases 15 stories from India, including the Ramayana and Mahabharata.
Additionally, stories from civilizations such as Maya, Aztec, Egypt, Arab, European, Chinese, and African are also depicted in the temple complex. The temple also features the ‘Dome of Peace’ and the ‘Dome of Harmony’.
Steel has not been used in its construction; only stones have been used to build it. It is claimed that this temple will remain safe for over a thousand years.
